Richard Bell says Manchester Giants have learned what it takes to compete for a play-off spot during a tough start to the season.
Despite suffering four league losses, they have come against arguably the four best teams in the competition – Leicester, Newcastle, London and Glasgow.
Plymouth Raiders visit the Trafford Sportsdome on Sunday (5pm tip-off), having lost on their last visit to Manchester back in April.
Bell told the BBL’s official website: “Although we have taken some tough losses, I think we have learnt some things.
“We have faced the toughest teams first, so we have an idea of the level we need to be at if we are going to compete for a Play-Offs spot – which is our goal.
“I think we understand that we can score the ball no problem, but our focus has to be on defence moving forward and stopping the other team.
“We have all the right pieces here at the Giants to be a successful team in the BBL.”
“The game against Plymouth will be a good test for us.
“We have to be locked in and focused on what we have to do, and as long as we come out and execute our game-plan, I feel confident we can come away with a win.”
