Assistant coach Sam Fitzpatrick and player Ryan Wilson have left Manchester Giants.
Fitzpatrick joined the club’s coaching staff in the summer while Wilson made four appearances having made the switch from Sheffield Sharks, and both departed prior to the weekend’s game against the Sharks.
Fitzpatrick said: “Unfortunately, I have had to call time on my role with the Giants. I don’t feel as though I can manage my time effectively enough to give my all to it.
“Massive thanks to the staff and players there for the opportunity and unfortunately I couldn’t make it last. Best wishes for the rest of the season.”
Wilson averaged 6.3 minutes and 1.5 ppg in his four appearances and will continue his basketball career with Ipswich in NBL2. He made an impressive debut for them at the weekend, registering 24 points and 12 rebounds in a win at Sussex.
Adam Morris will continue to assist Byrne on the Giants bench.
