Manchester Giants youngster Theo Cloake-Caveney has been selected for the England Under-14s squad that will travel to Copenhagen this month.

The national team will take part in an international tournament featuring teams from Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Estonia, Norway, the Netherlands, Scotland, Wales and USA.

The shooting guard, who plays in the club’s junior section, was selected after previously representing the North West and then being invited to a number of England talent camps.

He got the call after impressing in the latest England get-together at the National Basketball Performance Centre at Belle Vue last week.

Giants CEO John Dwan said: “Well done Theo and good luck at the tournament.

“His selection is a reflection of the hard work and effort a talented young Giants players has put in.”
