Glasgow Rocks v Manchester Giants
Where: Emirates Arena, 1000 London Road, Glasgow G40 3HG
When: Sunday, January 13, tip-off 5pm
What: BBL Cup semi-final second leg

News

It’s a massive weekend for the Giants. Danny Byrne’s men beat Cheshire Phoenix in a Friday-night North West derby – then travel to Glasgow for the second leg of the BBL Cup semi-final.

The Giants consolidated their eighth spot in the league with another win after leapfrogging Cheshire by beating Surrey last weekend.

The big one comes on Sunday, though. The Giants have an eight-point deficit to make up after the opening leg in Manchester last month.

With a place in the final in Birmingham at stake, it’s all to play for.

Tickets

Giants fans can pay on the door at Glasgow on Sunday.

What they’re saying

Danny Byrne: “Glasgow will be well aware of how well we have been on the road this season and we are looking forward to going up there. We’ve picked up good wins in Sheffield and Surrey in the last couple of weeks and going away holds no fear for us.

“The team are really playing for each other and although having a small rotation has its risks, it also has its benefits. Everyone knows his role and the players are really working hard. And you can’t ask more of an incentive than winning a place in the Cup final.”

Team news

The Giants are injury-free.
