Manchester Giants are planning a memorial tournament for a well-loved volunteer who worked tirelessly with the Giants pathway programme.

In honour of Jo Garner's life and legacy, the Giants will be one of three teams facing off at the Inaugural Jo Garner Memorial Cup on Saturday 2nd September at the Hough End Centre (M21 7SX). Joining the Giants pathway team will be squads from Myerscough and Neptune Basketball Club.

Pathway Director Jordi Pastor had this to say about Jo:

"Jo was a great woman. She was our treasurer for many years, as well as the team manager on the teams that her son Luke played in. She was always ready to help, had a winning smile and was very liked by everyone at the club. We were all shocked at the club but wanted to make sure we remember her through the Jo Garner Memorial."
