Manchester Giants Add Marlee Ball To 2023/24 Women’s Roster

Manchester Giants have secured the signing of Canadian guard Marlee Ball, bringing another experienced Women’s British Basketball League talent to Head Coach Marg Jones’ roster for the 2023/24 season.

The 27-year-old has amassed considerable experience in the League previously, under the leadership of one of former Great Britain Women’s legend Stef Collins with the Cardiff Met Archers, as well as during stints with the Gloucester City Queens and Caledonia Gladiators.

Standing at 5’11”, Ball has shown her capacity for stuffing the stats sheet in her previous seasons in the League, with her scoring ability dovetailing nicely with great court vision and positional awareness, meaning the Canadian routinely grabs high numbers of assists and rebounds in her on-court performances as well.

Ball is the seventh signing of the summer for the new-look Giants, and joins Georgia Anderson, Leah McDerment and Brooklynn McAlear-Fanus as proven elite guards in the League who make Coach Jones’ roster.

On signing for the Giants, the Canadian guard said: “I’m really excited to be joining Manchester this season and to contribute in any way that I can. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates and coaches and living in the city. The team is looking strong so I’m hoping that we will make an impact this season.”
