Plymouth Raiders v Manchester Giants
Where: Plymouth Pavilions
When: Sunday, March 31, tip-off 3pm
What: BBL Championship
The Giants will bid to end a three-game losing run in Plymouth on Sunday.
Since beating Leicester earlier this month, Danny Byrne’s men have gone down to Worcester, the Raiders and Glasgow.
The Giants’ Play-off ambitions aren’t over, though. They sit in ninth place in the BBL standings and a win in Plymouth will put them on level points with the eighth-placed Raiders.
What the coach says
Giants head coach Danny Byne: “I always enjoy going to Plymouth – it’s my home town and where it all started for me. But this is about getting the win. We’ve had a tough run, including losing to Plymouth last weekend when we were well capable of winning, and we need to get better.”
Raiders head coach Paul James: “We don’t want to be complacent, that’s for sure. We’ve just got to go out there and play as hard as we did, if not harder, being at home. We want to go out there and execute our offensive plan and especially the defensive one. We want to take care of the boards and the basketball and hopefully come away with another win.”
Danny Byrne reflects on the loss to Glasgow on Thursday and looks forward to Sunday’s trip to Plymouth.
