THE Giants could not quite replicate their away form at home – despite a battling fightback.

Danny Bryne’s men fought until the end but were unable stop a talented London Lions moving to the top of the BBL table with a narrow win.

The Giants have three early-season road wins but are still waiting for success in front of their own crowd this term.

They were as many as 15 points down in the third quarter but narrowed the gap to five (60-55) going into the final quarter.

A James Jones three closed it to 68-65 with 6:50 remaining and when the visitors went 10 up again, they were reeled back in as the Giants finally found their three-point range.

But, despite pushing all the way, they couldn’t quite close the gap fully.

Willie Clayton, with another record-breaking double double (22 points and 22 rebounds) and Callum Jones (21 points and 8 assists) took the fight to the Lions.
