The dates have been confirmed for the BBL Cup semi finals between Manchester Giants and Glasgow Rocks.

The Giants will host the first game, to be played on Friday December 7 at the Trafford Sportsdome (7.30pm tip). This replaces the scheduled league game against Worcester Wolves that was due to be played on the same night.

The second leg will now be held north of the border at the Emirates Arena on Sunday January 13 (5pm tip-off) – a change to the initially announced date.

The winner of the tie will advance to face London Lions or Newcastle Eagles in the BBL Cup final in Birmingham in January.

There are two Giants fixtures that have been affected by the addition of these games to the calendar – the Worcester game as mentioned above will now be played at George H Carnall Leisure Centre on Sunday February 3 (5pm tip-off), and will be the first game at the Giants’ new home.

Season tickets are valid for the BBL Cup semi-final at home to Glasgow Rocks.

The club is exploring the possibility of arranging a supporters bus for anybody wishing to travel to the away leg. If you are interested, please email jgordon@manchestergiants.com. Details will be posted via the club’s Facebook group.

Anyone who has purchased tickets for the game on Friday December 7, originally Worcester – these tickets will automatically be transferred to be valid for the semi-final home leg against Glasgow on the same night. If you are wanting to change your tickets so that they are for the re-arranged Worcester home game, please also email jgordon@manchestergiants.com with your ticket order number to confirm.
